HRM on SONA '09

  • With earnings of $6 billion and employment of 600,000, the BPO phenomenon speaks eloquently of our competitiveness and productivity.
-BPO or Business Process Outsourcing have been very popular to the Filipinos. Through BPO's companies will come to hire people from the Philippines, thus, giving a huge numbers of opportunity for the Filipino workers.
  • In the last four years tourism almost doubled. It is now a $5 billion industry.
-Tourism is one of the jobs for those people and workers that are not qualified for an office work. Our native people are the ones that will benefit mostly with regards to tourism. They can become tour guides and when numbers of tourist will come to visit Philippines, that means more dollars will come for the Philippines.
  • Sa pagpapamahagi ng milyun-milyong ektaryang lupa, 700,000 na katutubo at mahigit isang milyong benepisyaryo ng CARP ay taas-noong may-ari na ng sariling lupa.
-Filipinos are born farmers, it is the primary job of a huge percent of the Filipinos. By granting hectares for native people, they would be able to plant more raw materials and foods, especially rice. This means that they will be more numbers of stocks for export and for the Philippines itself.
  • Nakinabang ang pitong milyong entrepreneurs sa P165 billion na microfinance loans.
-Due to this, there will be lot of companies and firms that will rise, which means they will need huge numbers of employees, thus, resulting to reduce or even vanish the problem with unemployed Filipinos.
  • Nagtayo tayo ng 95,000 na silid-aralan, nagdagdag ng 60,000 na guro, naglaan ng P1.5 billion para sa teacher training, especially for 100,000 English teachers.
-As from what we all know, that education is the only property that can not be bought, and another thing is, it is the foundation of every Filipinos lives and job in the future. If there will be more class rooms established, the more students will be accommodated by a certain school, especially public schools located on native areas.
